The Arizona Concealed Carry course provides the student with classroom instruction pertaining to the Arizona Revised Statutes as well as firearms safety along with a range qualification.
The student should be proficient with their firearm. This is NOT a basic pistol course.
Course fees include permit application and fingerprinting which will be completed in class. A $60 (Cashier's Check or Money Order) made payable to Arizona Department of Public Safety (or AZDPS) will be required to submit your application for your 5 year permit. This is in addition to the Course fee. You do not need to this at the time of the class.
Issuance of CCW Permit is subject to a criminal background investigation conducted by the Department of Public Safety. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Permit will be denied to any applicant who has a Felony conviction, unless civil rights have been restored, including the right to possess firearms. Applicant may not have been convicted in any court of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence. Applicant may not have suffered from mental illness and been adjudicated mentally incompetent or committed to a mental institution. Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident alien. Applicant must be lawfully present in the United States.

The NRA New Shooter Seminar exposes new gun owners to the fundamentals of firearm safety. This 45-60 minute seminar is a great introduction to the important safety aspects of owning a firearm.

A clean firearm is a safe firearm. It is iportant...no imperative...that you keep your firearm clean. Shooting your firearm causes powder residue and other dirt and grime along with gases to build up in the action and on the barrel. Over time this can affect the performance of your firearm and potentially make your firearm unreliable or unpredictable. It is critical that your firearm perform when you need it to.

Gun handling and marksmanship are perishable skills. It is important to practice those fundamentals. These sessions allow the student to practice with their firearm, working with an instructor to work on the fundamentals and/or advance skills.

The NRA FIRST Steps Pistol is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one specific pistol action type for classes of four or fewer students. This course is at least three hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a specific pistol action type. Students will learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; the particular pistol model parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, FIRST Steps Course completion certificate.

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation and is available for delivery in two ways. One option is the traditional, instructor-led course where you will receive direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor from beginning to end. The other option has two components: a self-study or “eLearning module” which is completed online in your own timeframe and a hands-on practical portion conducted in a classroom and shooting range with an Instructor.

The Introduction to Basic Pistol is geared toward the novice shooter and designed to provide a hands-on introduction on how to operate a pistol safely and proficiently. The course covers a review of firearms safety, range rules, basic shooting terminology and development of shooting skills on the range. Each student will be evaluated on understanding proper grip, sight picture/sight alignment, trigger and breath control and proper stance.

This is a hybrid class NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation and is available for delivery in two ways. This option has two components: a self-study or “eLearning module” which is completed online in your own timeframe and a hands-on practical portion conducted in a classroom and shooting range with an NRA Certified Instructor.
Prerequisites: To register for this course you must have completed the Self Learning Module available at https://nra.yourlearningportal.com/. Upon successful completion of this module and you print your certificate, your Personal Identification Number(PIN) is activated at that point. You must use that PIN and the email address used when registering for the Self learning Module to sign up for this course.

RTBAV Course teaches strategies people can integrate into their everyday lives to avoid becoming a victim of crime. This is not a firearms instruction course, and does not include instruction in physical combat self-defense. Seminars teach common weaknesses that criminals may take advantage of, and a variety of corrective measures that are practical, inexpensive and easy to follow. The seminar includes classroom instruction on criminal psychology, automobile crimes; cyber safety, home security, and a variety of crime prevention strategies including carjack avoidance techniques, use of personal safety devices, and more. Students receive the Refuse To Be A Victim® student handbook, NRA Refuse To Be A Victim® brochure, NRA Become A Refuse To Be A Victim® Instructor Brochure, Refuse To Be A Victim® Firearms Supplement, and a course completion certificate.

If you’re curious about firearms, whether for personal defense or to learn a new sport, Women On Target® is the perfect place to start. These instructional shooting clinics are designed to teach you firearm safety and the fundamentals of marksmanship, giving you the confidence you need to safely handle and operate a firearm upon completion. Women On Target® clinics are available only to women — it’s a safe and friendly environment whether you’re picking up a gun for the very first time or are just brushing off some dust and need a little refresher. You’ll immediately feel at ease in the half- or full-day clinics, and will be provided with a hands-on, one-of-a-kind experience. No experience or equipment is necessary to participate.

This is a one-hour session for retired law enforcement officers to complete the annual shooting qualification as per the Arizona Statute and Arizona Peace Officers Standards and Training (AZPOST) to satisfy the annual requirement of LEOSA.
